Call organizer for info
Celebrate the holiday season in historic downtown Gardiner!
UPDATE: the Parade of Lights has been rescheduled. Sorry for the confusion. We're hoping better weather is planned for our set rain date of next Saturday, December 10th at 4:30pm. It takes a lot of coordination of GMS & city staff, parade participants, and volunteers to plan a major event like this, and these calls are not easy. We appreciate everyone's kindness as we worked through this decision.
The evening Parade of Lights begins at 4:30pm and moves along Water Street from Winter Street to Waterfront Park.
Be a part of this year’s Parade of Lights and usher in the holiday season! No registration fee. All schools, businesses, civic groups, teams, organizations, and community groups are encouraged to join our popular annual event.

*Water St. will be closed from Winter St. to Vine St. for approximately 45 minutes.
*Traffic will be stopped during the parade
*Traffic will get backed up during the parade
*Traffic from the Gardiner/Randolph Bridge area should take Highland Ave or Spring St. to avoid the area
*Traffic from Brunswick Ave, should avoid the area and consider using Washington or Central and go to West Hill.
*Traffic from South Gardiner will be routed up Vine around the Common and should take Washington or Central to West Hill.
*The 1 way portion of Water St. will not open back up until after the Christmas tree is lit and it is safe to do so.
*Plan on there being a lot of pedestrians in the area even after the parade
*Plan your alternate route ahead of time and leave yourself plenty of time to make adjustments
*Plan where you will park
*Remember to stay in the Holiday spirit as that is what this parade is about!
Saturday, December 10th will be an alternate day for the parade in the event of inclement weather.
