Gardiner Main Street has once again been designated as an Accredited Main Street America™ program for meeting rigorous performance standards.

This new grant initiative will provide funding to help strengthen established businesses within the City of Gardiner and encourage growth or development that might otherwise be delayed or less feasible.

Gardiner Main Street invites community members who live, work or play in Gardiner to an informative brainstorming event on Saturday, March 12 from 1 to 4pm. Held across several downtown locations, this interactive Think About Gardiner event will share resources and information about Gardiner and also collect feedback on how to keep a thriving community.

Now that Heart of Gardiner, the master plan for the downtown, has been approved, city officials will focus on how to achieve the goals outlined in it to bolster the city.

A fundraising challenge to renovate the upper theater at the historic opera house in Gardiner is within 90% of its $5.5 million goal.
